Can You Live Without Your Smartphone For A whole Day?

Kinkoo-Smartphone-AddictionYes, if you use a smartphone, you probably believe you can’t live without it, even for a whole day.

According to a survey by Bank of America found, nearly half of U.S. adults — or 47% — said they wouldn’t last a full 24 hours without their smartphone. People fear losing their phone: they worry over running out of battery power, constantly check for new emails and text messages and calls, and they don’t even want to go to the restroom without their phones.

But this comes as no surprise, isn’t it? When people feel at a loss without mobile technology to anchor their moods and make them feel safe and content, then they are vulnerable to limiting interpersonal contact that interferes with their access to that technology. That can mean less outdoor activity, less conversation, less intimacy and less reliance on one’s own fund of knowledge and ability to structure time and tasks.

And if you really want to overcome this anxiety, here are a few tips to help you.

Take a break

Often we are too close to the problem to solve it. Psychologists suggest you take some time off and move away from the problem to get your thoughts in order.

Talk to someone

Try talking to someone about your anxiety. Confiding in a person is the best way to understand the situation and cope with it accordingly. If you do not have any friends or family, try talking to a counsellor or psychologist.

Face your fears

Most people fear the unknown. Therefore, it is essential you get to know what you fear and face it. Try finding ways to slowly inch towards beating the demon.

Meditation is a great relaxation technique; it helps calm the mind and body. It also helps you deal with stressors more efficiently. Indulge in meditation on a regular basis to manage your anxiety attacks.
